چکیده

Chongming Island, the third largest island in China, has experienced dramatic shoreline changes due to erosion, river deposits, and human activities. While previous studies have shown capacity of Landsat series images extract dynamics, spatial variation dynamics their corresponding driving factors remain unclear. Therefore, we established a method monitor Island from 1984 2020 evaluate using novel approach image analysis. The method, based on LISA (local indicator autocorrelation) concept, automatically extracted imagery. results show that SWIR1 band, high for extraction Island. By distinguishing responses eastern northern shorelines upstream sediment loads comprehensively analyzing found that: (i) although decreased dramatically, is still expanding activities (i.e., reclamation an estuary project) re-suspension near-shore or cross-shore currents; (ii) expansion was initially at shoreline, but slowed after 2008 as sedimentation slowed, less construction cofferdams took place, Qingcaosha Reservoir constructed; (iii) expanded rapidly 1999, merger Xinlongsha, Xincunsha, transport coastal offshore sediments by hydrodynamic processes; (iv) main movement are cofferdam engineering, mainly affected projects, supplies, inflow. this study provide theoretical fundamentals land future urban planning

a novel and ultra low cost isfet electrode and measurement system was designed for isfet application and detection of hydronium, hydrazinium and potassium ions. also, a measuring setup containing appropriate circuits, suitable analyzer (advantech board), de noise reduction elements, cooling system and pc was used for controlling the isfet electrode and various characteristic measurements. the t...

Automatic Measurement of Shoreline Change on Djerba Island of Tunisia

This study presents measurement of changes using image processing techniques, Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) and Landsat images along the coast of the island of Djerba, Tunisia. Three regions of this island were selected: Rass Errmall, El Kastil and Aghir. Accretions as well as erosion processes were observed in the study areas between 1984 and 2009. The average of the erosion was aro...

Effects of Shoreline Dynamics on Saltmarsh Vegetation

We evaluated the impact of shoreline dynamics on fringing vegetation density at mid- and low-marsh elevations at a high-energy site in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Particularly, we selected eight unprotected shoreline stretches (75 m each) at a historically eroding site and measured their inter-annual lateral movement rate using the DSAS method for three consecutive years. We observed high inte...

Time variations analysis of the Hormoz strait northern shoreline by using Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS)

Extended abstract 1- Introduction  Coastal systems are very dynamic, and their movement is relatively fast due to the collision of onshore and marine environment. The majority of the world's population is concentrated along with the coastal areas. Hormuz Strait coasts are affected by morphological variables due to the hydrodynamics of the sea and the dynamics of coastal and onshore environme...
